Our Mission

 
Our objective as an organization is to attract and prepare female hockey players ranging in beginner to advanced abilitylevels and introduce her to proper training methods in order to gain skills in all aspects of the game of ice hockey. Our program is devoted to providing advancement and competion for athletes who are willing to work for it. As a team we are a family and will continue to grow and support each other as we progress.

Club Information

The MSGBs Hockey association is a sanctioned program and a member of the Mid-Atlantic Womens Hockey Association (MAWHA) and the Atlantic District and USA HOCKEY!. The MSGBs field teams at the Red, White and Blue levels, depending upon talent and coaching. All teams will play a full league or independent schedule in the MAWHA league or independently, as well as exhibition games and tournaments along the east coast from Maryland to Canada. Tryout and season playing fees are established at the beginning of each season.
 
During the 2005-2006 season, over 50 girls from the state of New Jersey skated as Mid-State Golden Blades. In 2006, the U19 team won the MAWHA White Division Playoffs and advanced to the districts Red, tier one, playoffs. The 2006 U19 team was runner up in the Atlantic District Playoffs. In 2007, both the U16 and U19 teams won the MAWHA White Divison Playoffs. Our banners are proudly displayed at our home rink. Players participating in our programs are selected at competitive tryouts. Tryouts for the MSGBs are held in April. All MSGB team begin skating for the regular season in September. All teams may attend several tournaments over the summer and throughout the season.
